She is so Beautiful....I am crying seeing the three of you together!!! She is soooo cute I cannot stand it...AND that outfit that she is in is the best!!! We are so much alike...Lucy has that backpack but in the turquoise!!! You have to tell me once you stripped her out of all the clothes :) is she tiny??? She looks like she is! Cannot wait for more!!!!
I am crying with joy now and am so happy for you all. She is just beautiful! I am so happy to have another little Granddaughter. MOM Can't wait for more pictures and commentary. Love you guys.
I know that you will...but save those orange hair puffs. I know it sounds weird, but our last trip to China we had such a hard time finding them to buy :)
I'm so happy that things are going well. This is a sacred time that you can share with her as her mom and dad.
Oh ... she is just so lovely! We stayed at the Dolton Hotel, and the room where you met Faith is the same room where we met our Libby! It sounds as though everything is going so beautifully!!! Your husband's comment was so sweet. She melts my heart too!!! Congratulations! This is surreal for me, as our oldest son was also on a mission when Libby came home. He will fall in love with her, as all your children will. You have such a darling little girl! DArling!
PRAISE THE LORD!! You made it to your province! She is beautiful and seems like such a sweetheart! Congratulations-- so excited for you! Be blessed, Courtney
Welcome to our little piece of the world wide web! A little about us ~ I am Dawn, and my husband is Jeff. We have five children. When our youngest was 10 we prayed to see if our family was complete, we were prompted to adopt.
(How grateful we are that we listened to that prompting) We returned from China in January 2010 with our daughter FAITH who is now 5 years old. This is our blog "Faith in Every Footstep." Now that we are home, I use this blog to record our family adventures and daily school pictures of our little peanut! Enjoy~
Faith's Chinese name is SiSi. The character Si means "to think, consider"
Born not from our flesh but born in our hearts you were longed for, wanted and loved from the start!
About Faith Hengsi
Yang Hengsi was found by local poeple at the gate of the orphanage of Hengyang City on July 13th 2007. She was estimated to be about 5 days old. She was diagnosed with hyperthermia and hospitalized. (In July, when she was found, the temperatures reach 105 degrees.) We believe she was left out in the heat for an extended period of time. Local police did a lot of searching but failed to find her birth parents, as nobody claimed her, she was sent to be raised in the orphanage at 24:00 hours being July 14th.
In China she had been diagnosed with hydrocephalus from a CT scan. This diagnosis was inaccurate; we know this because of the MRI she recently had here in the states. She does have a birth defect with her brain tissue called Agenesis of the Corpus collossum.

Hengyang city has 805,000 residents and is just over 2 hours south of Changsha by road. Hengyang was traditionally known as the ‘goose city’ because of the number of geese that migrated through it. It’s also the leading transportation centre of Hunan, linking water, rail and highway routes.
