Boy Girl, you have some energy or are just plain crazy!! I have not even posted to the blog yet, let alone done a slide show. Our girls have been up in the middle of the night. We are foregoing naps today in hopes they will sleep through the night. I'm tired of being up from 2am to 6am. Can I get some of the pictures from the Great Wall and Bird's Nest, when our camera had died?? So glad you guys made it home without too many incidents!! Blessings, Sandy
Congratulations, I have loved following your journey and I'm so glad you are all home safe and sound! When she's ready I would love to have Faith over for a play date with Brooklyn. I have been showing Brooklyn the pictures from your blog and letting her know she has a new friend named Faith. I'm so happy for you all!!!!
How beautiful! This process is truly an amazing journey and it is so fun to see you move on to the best part of it all...being home with your daughter! Hooray!
So wonderful! Congratulations! I'm so happy to see you home with your whole family together. Thanks for letting us follow your journey. It is indeed something so wonderful beyond words.
I am so happy you are home safe and sound and reunited with your sweet family. I have been close to tears (well..let's just say crying). I love you all so very much. MOM S.
I've been inspired following your journey. And I was fine until I watched your slideshow today and it got to the part of your beautiful children holding your newest beautiful child. What a marvelous family you have!
It was your you're blog title that brought me to your site. "Faith in Every Footstep" made me realize we have much in common. We truly feel led too... Thanks so much for letting me get a glimpse of your experiences. Jan in SLC
We have been living vicariously through your journey in hopes ours will come some day soon. My wife and I would look forward to finishing up dinner and logging in to see if you had any updates and new photos! It's funny how you can have so much joy for complete strangers. You're posts and blogs were/are great. We both wish you much happiness with your new expanded family! Warmest Regards, Paul and Linda.
Congratulations you guys! I have followed a little bit and am so happy she is finally with you! Absolutely loved the slide show! I can't wait to meet her at church. Thank you so much for posting and letting us see and feel a little of your joy. Lynea
Welcome to our little piece of the world wide web! A little about us ~ I am Dawn, and my husband is Jeff. We have five children. When our youngest was 10 we prayed to see if our family was complete, we were prompted to adopt.
(How grateful we are that we listened to that prompting) We returned from China in January 2010 with our daughter FAITH who is now 5 years old. This is our blog "Faith in Every Footstep." Now that we are home, I use this blog to record our family adventures and daily school pictures of our little peanut! Enjoy~
Faith's Chinese name is SiSi. The character Si means "to think, consider"
Born not from our flesh but born in our hearts you were longed for, wanted and loved from the start!
About Faith Hengsi
Yang Hengsi was found by local poeple at the gate of the orphanage of Hengyang City on July 13th 2007. She was estimated to be about 5 days old. She was diagnosed with hyperthermia and hospitalized. (In July, when she was found, the temperatures reach 105 degrees.) We believe she was left out in the heat for an extended period of time. Local police did a lot of searching but failed to find her birth parents, as nobody claimed her, she was sent to be raised in the orphanage at 24:00 hours being July 14th.
In China she had been diagnosed with hydrocephalus from a CT scan. This diagnosis was inaccurate; we know this because of the MRI she recently had here in the states. She does have a birth defect with her brain tissue called Agenesis of the Corpus collossum.

Hengyang city has 805,000 residents and is just over 2 hours south of Changsha by road. Hengyang was traditionally known as the ‘goose city’ because of the number of geese that migrated through it. It’s also the leading transportation centre of Hunan, linking water, rail and highway routes.
